1. The usual route · most students take this
Class 10 → Class 11–12: Science with Maths → B.Tech in Computer Science / IT → Software Developer
The most common path — a computer-engineering degree after school.
2. The BCA route · more flexible on stream
Class 10 → Class 11–12 (any stream, Maths helpful) → BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) → Software Developer
Good if you didn't take Maths-heavy Science.
3. The skills-first route · any background
Any college degree → a coding course or bootcamp + practice projects → junior developer → grow up
For those switching in, or without a computer degree.
4. The diploma route · an early, hands-on start
Class 10 → Diploma in Computer Engineering (polytechnic) → a developer job, or B.Tech (direct 2nd year)
A practical head-start right after Class 10.
Good to know: "Science with Maths" is the PCM group (Physics, Chemistry, Maths). B.Tech and BCA are both Bachelor's degrees (your first college degree) for computers.
