Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Check My Career we want every customer to feel confident about the payment they make. This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and how long the process takes. It applies to all paid services on Check My Career, including career assessments, detailed reports, and counsellor booking sessions.
1. Career Assessments & Detailed Reports
A paid assessment includes the assessment itself plus a personalised Career Insight Report generated by our system. Because the report is digitally generated and delivered immediately after you complete the assessment, refunds for this service are governed by the following rules:
- Before you start the assessment — If you have paid but have not yet begun the assessment, you may request a full refund within 7 days of payment.
- After you start the assessment — Once you have answered the first question, the service is considered “in progress” and refunds are not available, as scoring and AI report generation begin automatically on completion.
- Technical failure — If the report fails to generate due to a verified technical issue on our side and we are unable to regenerate it within 7 to 10 working days, you are eligible for a full refund.
- Duplicate payment — If you are charged twice for the same assessment, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full on verification.
2. Counsellor Booking Sessions
- Cancellation more than 24 hours before the session — Full refund, or free rescheduling to another available slot.
- Cancellation within 24 hours of the session — Rescheduling is permitted once at no cost; refunds are not available.
- No-show by customer — Session fee is non-refundable.
- No-show by counsellor — Full refund or free rescheduling, at your choice.
3. Subscriptions (where applicable)
If you have purchased a subscription plan, you may cancel it at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future billing. Refunds for the current billing cycle are not available unless required under applicable law.
4. Free Career DNA Test
The Career DNA test is free to take. No payment is collected, so no refund is applicable.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@checkmycareer.com from the email address registered on your Check My Career account and include:
- Your full name
- Order / payment ID
- Date of payment
- Reason for the refund request
We respond to all refund requests within 7 to 10 working days with a decision.
6. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method (Razorpay / UPI / card / net banking). Once processed by us, the amount typically reflects in your account within 7 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
7. Grievance & Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer:

- Response time: within 15 working days, as required under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and the Information Technology Rules 2021.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of Check My Career after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
