These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tej Enterprise, which operates Check My Career(checkmycareer.com) (“we”, “us”, “our”), and related services. By creating an account, making a payment, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must provide accurate, current information when you register, and keep it updated.
  • Users under 18 may use the service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account.

2. Our services

Check My Career provides:

  • Online career assessments and personalised career reports;
  • A free Career DNA test;
  • Optional career counselling/booking sessions (where offered).

We may add, change, or withdraw features over time.

3. Nature of our guidance (important)

Our assessments and reports are guidance and self-exploration tools, based on established psychometric frameworks (Holland RIASEC, Big Five) and benchmarked against developing norms. They are:

  • Indicative, not predictive — they suggest possibilities, they do not predict outcomes;
  • Not a guarantee of any job, admission, examination result, salary, or specific career outcome.

Career outcomes depend on your own effort, market conditions, and many personal factors. Final decisions should be made in consultation with parents, educators, or qualified career counsellors. Salary and career-information figures shown are indicative estimates and may vary.

4. Fees and payment

  • Prices are shown on the website in Indian Rupees (₹) and may include applicable taxes.
  • Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details.
  • We may change prices from time to time; the price shown at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy. In short: assessments are refundable before you start them, but not once started (because scoring and report generation begin automatically); verified technical failures and duplicate charges are refunded. Counsellor-session and subscription terms are set out in that Policy.

6. Parental consent for minors

Where the user is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for both (a) the processing of the minor’s personal data (see our Privacy Policy) and (b) any purchase made. By allowing a minor to use the service, the parent/guardian accepts these Terms and the Privacy Policy on the minor’s behalf.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the service — including the assessments, scoring methods, report formats, text, and branding — is owned by or licensed to Check My Career and is protected by law. Your personalised report is provided for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative products from our content without our written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information or impersonate another person;
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose;
  • Copy or scrape content for commercial use.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties such as Razorpay (payments), Google Firebase and Vercel (hosting), and OpenAI (report-text generation). Your use of the service may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
  • We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on our guidance.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Check My Career harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Thane, Maharashtra, India.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
